Intended to come here to drink beer. However, wife and I didn't know this site was more of a brewery supplier vs. tasting room. This is not a public tasting room unless you're signed up for a brewing class or some other event. (Although there will be a tasting room opening in Vista, CA by years end.) Raul, the owner, was gracious enough to let us stay and have a drink since we were out of towner's and all other breweries open up at 3pm. We chatted a bit about how Guadalupe brewery came about, the beer brewing process, the new pending ACTUAL TASTING ROOM grand opening in Vista and beers on tap. There was a new interesting brew on tap I've never heard of and a medal winner. A hybrid, honey mead and beer mash up. If you've ever had a Mead before, they're sweet and usually in the higher alcohol content level ,which is right up my alley. This particular brew, the Braggot, was 8% alcohol content and not as sweet as a traditional Mead. It was refreshing and definitely hit the spot. Plus, this particular brew was made with the intention of helping out someone in the community in dire need of medical help with tip proceeds going directly to the family. Come check this place out, then keeps tabs on the new opening of Guadalupe Breweries new Tasting room in Vista!
This cozy family-owned tasting room is a hidden gem located behind a home brew supply store. The beer is fresh and flavorful, many with a Mexican twist - such as the Tepache IPA with pineapple rind, brown sugar, and 10 different yeast strains, as well as the Fifty Fifty creamsicle ale with orange and vanilla. They are growler-only and fill all growlers. They also offer 32- and 64-oz growlers for $5 each.
Cool little brewery attached to the home brew shop.. Beer is pretty solid..unfortunately due to stupid city licensing.. They can only pour growlers..no pints or tasters... They'll hopefully get the full tasting license soon!
Came here for supplies to brew my first all grain beer, was helped by raul who gave me tips and walked me through the process with each ingrediance. Found my homebrew hq
Great place, nice people, and, of course, great beer! Hazy IPA awesome, as are a number of seasonal offerings !
